Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of www.lumyiq.com and the LumyIQ app (the "Service"), operated by LumyIQ Intelligence Ltd, registered in England and Wales, Company No. 17366470 ("LumyIQ", "we", "us"). By using LumyIQ you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Some clauses below are marked[LEGAL REVIEW]where the final wording is subject to review.

1. Service description

LumyIQ provides cosmetic skin insights only. It analyses a photo of your face and returns an aesthetic assessment for informational purposes. LumyIQ is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any health concern.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use LumyIQ. Sign-up requires a valid date of birth and accounts declaring an age under 18 are blocked. You confirm you are 18+ again on the "Before you scan" consent screen.

3. Acceptable use

  • Only upload images of yourself, or images you have permission to upload.
  • No images of minors, deceased people, or anyone without their consent.
  • No automated scraping, abuse, or attempts to overload our infrastructure.
  • No reverse engineering or use of the service to train competing AI models.
  • No use of the service for unlawful, harassing or discriminatory purposes.

4. Your content and consent

You retain ownership of any selfie you upload. You grant LumyIQ a limited right to process that image solely to generate your cosmetic analysis. Your scan image, results and report are saved securely to your account and are only deleted when you delete the scan or close your account. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Practitioner marketplace

LumyIQ vets practitioners who join our directory, but each practitioner remains independently responsible for the services they provide, their advice, their credentials, their premises, and their own regulatory compliance. LumyIQ is not a party to the treatment relationship between you and a practitioner. [LEGAL REVIEW]

6. Bookings

LumyIQ connects you with vetted aesthetic practitioners. When you are ready to book, you are directed to the practitioner's own website or booking system to arrange your appointment directly with them. LumyIQ does not take any payment from you, does not handle your booking, and is not a party to the agreement between you and your practitioner. Payment terms, cancellation terms and refund terms are set entirely by the practitioner and are between you and them. LumyIQ's responsibility is to ensure every practitioner on the platform has been vetted for qualifications, insurance and professional standing before being listed. See our Booking Policy.

7. AI limitations

The analysis is generated by an AI model. It can be inaccurate, incomplete or biased, and results may vary between scans. You should not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision about your health, appearance or finances.

8. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or applicable law.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LumyIQ is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). [LEGAL REVIEW]

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
